Stand Alone Base
The Stand Alone Base (SAB), designated as pn 30158, serves as an electronic interface governed by a microprocessor.
Its primary function is to convert addressable detectors from the MD99xx series into standalone detectors.
Comprising a microprocessor electronic board within a plastic base, the SAB establishes communication with the connected detector using a serial protocol. It conveys the detector’s status through three digital outputs and one analog 4-20 mA output.
Furthermore, the SAB can execute test routines on the linked detector and undergo a reset based on external commands received through two digital inputs.
